FLCC Administrator Joins Professional Association Board
Canandaigua, N.Y. - Thomas Christopher Priester, assistant director of student life at Finger Lakes Community College, has been elected as an officer to the board of the College Student Personnel Association of New York State.
Priester, who has worked at FLCC since August 2008, began his two-year term as the vice president for professional development at the 2009 CSPA-NYS Annual Conference in Syracuse in October.
Dedicated to fostering the development of educators, students and scholars within higher education, the College Student Personnel Association of New York State Inc. is the first chartered state division of the American College Personnel Association.
As vice president for professional development, Priester will be responsible for implementing professional development programs for the membership statewide. At FLCC, he is responsible for the Leadership Opportunity and Outreach Program, which prepares students for leadership roles and responsibilities.
Priester, who lives in Canandaigua, holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Fredonia and a master’s from SUNY at Buffalo.
