FLCC Global Awareness Program Presents Anthrofest 2008
Canandaigua, N.Y. (Nov. 25, 2008) – Accomplished anthropologists and archaeologists Ann Morton and Heman Sweet discuss the fields of anthropology and archaeology in the FLCC Global Awareness Program’s presentation of “Anthrofest 2008”. The adjunct professors at FLCC focus on the prestigious international and American projects they have been involved with, and they explain future archaeological field school opportunities that will be available at FLCC. Anthrofest 2008 will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 12:45 – 2 p.m. in room B-404 on the fourth floor of the FLCC Canandaigua Campus, 4355 Lakeshore Dr.
Michael J. Fisher Receives Inaugural Keuka College/FLCC Joint Presidential Scholarship

Finger Lakes Community College Student Suzanne Zwecker Receives Two Prestigious National Scholarships
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (Nov. 18, 2008) – Finger Lakes Community College student Suzanne Zwecker of Farmington recently received two prestigious national scholarships, the $2,000 Jeanette Rankin Scholarship and a $1,000 scholarship from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation through the Coca-Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship Program. FLCC Men’s Woodsmen Teams Finish in the Top 10 at the 26th Annual Loggersports Competition
LINDSAY, ONTARIO (Nov. 4, 2008) – The Finger Lakes Community College men’s woodsmen teams finished seventh and ninth in the Fleming College 26th Annual Loggersports Competition, held Saturday, November 1 in Lindsay, Ontario. The Lakers “Men’s 1” team finished with 796 points and the “Men’s 2” team finished with 710 points. Paul Smith’s College earned the first-place trophy for the second straight year with a total score of 1,117 points as 32 teams from the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada competed in 13 different woodsmen’s events.
